Austin is known as the Live Music Capital of the World and boasts more live music venues than any other city (per capita) in the country and hosts the SXSW (South by Southwest) festival. Austin is consistently ranked as one of the most notable food cities in America.
Despite being bustling city, Austin has a lot to offer if you’re into the outdoors in large part due to averaging 228 days of sunshine annually. There are miles of hiking trails, biking trails, kayaking, canoeing and swimming to do on your own, as a couple or with the kids. The spring, fall and winter seasons are allow for extended outdoor activities, plenty of Vitamin D and mood-enhancing serotonin!
