Travel nurse, Stephanie S. has served patients with Supplemental Health Care for the past 20 years. Her consistency and commitment to quality care throughout her career has made her an exemplary part of SHC.
In this Care More Spotlight, we would like to congratulate Stephanie as the most recent recipient of this recognition. Stephanie shows up to each and every travel nursing contract with all the qualities that SHC strives to live by: commitment, compassion, and an unwavering work ethic. And every facility and patient she has worked with has felt that.

Truly Caring for Patients
Stephanie knew that she wanted to help take care of patients from the time her own grandfather became ill. She recognized the need to be someone else’s voice when they need care. As a travel nurse, she has become exactly that for countless patients across the country.
As a nurse, she finds it rewarding to help motivate patients and to see them thrive in her care. She recognizes that their patient experience can be greatly improved by having an RN who truly advocates for them and sincerely cares for their well-being.
“I have always said that my patients are my responsibility, and their well-being and best possible outcome lies in my care,” Stephanie said. “I’m their voice when they don’t have one. I’ve passed this perspective on to many new nurses — RNs have so much more power than most of us know, and communication is the foundation of good, quality care.”
Her recruiter, Tina, has watched Stephanie consistently show up for patients in this way throughout her entire travel nurse career at SHC.
