Supplemental Health Care’s VP of Marketing, Geoff Staub, recently moderated an online event hosted by the American Staffing Association (ASA) called “Ensuring Workplace Inclusion for LGBTQ+ Employees and Candidates.”
ASA’s Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Advocacy Council held this networking call during Pride Month to explore the fundamental, generational shift in the LGBTQ+ workforce, how it defines itself, and expectations of workplace inclusion. This conversation allowed ASA members to share real life examples and guidance to better address LGBTQ+ inclusion in interviewing and hiring as well as employee and client relations.
Geoff Staub led an honest discussion with participants to better understand LGBTQ+ experiences and how to be more inclusive in the workplace. The group also shared solutions and lessons learned about using more inclusive language and ways to help employees feel comfortable bringing their most authentic selves to work.
This call is relevant for those in staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions; from principals, chief executive officers, and presidents to team managers and leaders as well as industry professionals.
